Custom Orders:

Let CarvedMetal create something special for you! To place your custom order please follow these steps:

1) E-mail your request to carvedmetal@gmail.com. To receive a more accurate quote, please be sure to provide a detailed description, dimensions, metal type, quantity, and any gemstones you may desire. Feel free to include any designs you have already drawn, or pictures, or links to pictures that may depict elements you would like to incorporate into your new design.

2) You will then receive a quote based upon the information in your request. The quote will have a sculpting cost, and the piece(s) cost...if you require me to sketch and design for you that will be rolled into the sculpting cost.

To begin designing, sketching, and/or sculpting a project a $50 deposit is required. For clients who provide me with the design I can begin sculpting right away with a $50 deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, but will of course count towards the total sculpting cost. You will receive a PayPal invoice for all necessary deposits and payments for each step of the custom order process.

3) Upon completion of the design, and then the sculpt, you will be e-mailed good quality digital photographs for your approval. At each of these points you may still make reasonable changes to the piece. Please note that major alterations in form or detail may incur additional costs.

Once you approve of the design, and then the sculpt, payment for the remainder of the design and/or sculpting cost is required. Once paid your piece(s) will be transformed into metal! * (for some gold and platinum pieces it may be necessary to pay for up to 1/2 of the estimated finished piece cost before casting)

4) After casting, all pieces are hand-finished, and all stones are hand-set. Final photographs are taken, and you will receive a final invoice for the finished works. Once paid, the new works of art are shipped for your everlasting enjoyment!

Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for design and sculpting. Casting and finishing usually requires 2 to 3 weeks for sterling silver, gold, and platinum projects, although additional time may be needed if soldering, complex stone setting, or engraving is needed. Please allow 3 to 5 weeks for casting and finishing of bronze, white bronze, or brass items. I will always keep you posted on progress and do my best to keep the project flowing smoothly!
